HISTORY
A stone that is popularly found around the world, such as in Switzerland, Russia, Kenya, and the eastern United States. 
The name comes from the Greek word for ‘blue’, ‘kyanos because of its variety in blue shades. 
This is a very popular gemstone among those who cut gemstones, as it can be cut in many ways, such as cabochon, faceted, or into beads, such as these strands.
Its properties have been associated with meditation during ancient times, with many claiming that it facilitates the process of meditation.
